I love the opportunity to share via the newsletter every year, during this month. Why? It’s because I get to celebrate this month (in my heart and mind) for three sacred, amazing, reasons.
The first reason is because I came into physical form in this month (my birth month – yeah). So, I celebrate the fact that I’m alive and I’m here – now. I celebrate my mom because she allowed me to arrive through her and be birthed. It’s because I was born this month that I get to celebrate my beautiful, talented, intelligent and wise daughter and granddaughter, who I share life with. It’s because I was born that my daughter married an honest, supporting, loving and generous husband, so I celebrate him. It’s because I was born that I met and married an amazing woman. It’s because I was born that I have such wonderful friends who I appreciate and revere deeply. I celebrate that this planet allows me to enjoy everything it has to offer. I celebrate everyone who has ever been in my life and is in my life now; each one has contributed, in some way, to who I am. I celebrate everything life has to offer. I celebrate this moment because I can. Wow! Thank you God for allowing me to experience you as me!
The second reason is because I was given back my spiritual life during this month. This was the month I made the commitment to join my home church, the Agape International Spiritual Center, in Los Angeles, CA. I celebrate all the Agape teachers who contributed to my spiritual growth. I celebrate both those who taught me formally and those who were my informal teachers. I celebrate the commitment I made in becoming a member at Agape because it was the seed that blossomed into my being ordained a minister.
The third reason is because my first and only ministry started during this month. It all began here, at the Global Heart Spiritual Center. I celebrate the gift the newsletter offers me by allowing me to do one of the things I love to do, write. I celebrate all the ups and downs, the losses and the successes, the joys and the pains I’ve experienced since I’ve been here, because they have given me the growth I’ve needed. I celebrate the fact that I have had the honor and Divine privilege to touch so many lives and have had so many lives touch my life.
Now, here is what I know. Even though I have gone on about why this month means so much to me, it doesn’t mean it is more important or special than any other month.
year, each month, each day or each moment, because in truth, every moment gives me a reason to celebrate. Every moment creates new blessings of memories I can cherish.
Create this moment in the time of your life as a beginning towards the daily celebration of something –anything. The act of celebration moves you into what is known as “an attitude of gratitude.” I liken the act of celebrating some aspect of life each day as a way of saying thank you without using the words “thank you” (saying thank you is good too).
What I want to impart to you is, in this moment I find it easy to celebrate you; your life and all the intricate, sacred meanings it has to me. Thank you to all of you who have continued to read this newsletter over the 8 years of my service at the Global Heart Spiritual Center. Thank you to those of you who have supported, in any way, me and my ministry. I deeply appreciate you. And always remember, “Life is good – all the time.”
