Love, Laugh, Let Go and Live God!
THE 2008 PRACTITIONER CORE SUMMER WORKS
Circle of Comfort
Facilitator: Sherry Cole, RScP 261-7695
Monday, July 28 from 6:30 to 9:30pm
This workshop provides an opportunity for participants to forgive themselves and see the people sharing in their lives in a new way. In this Circle of Comfort, we will literally surround ourselves with the healing balm of love and forgiveness. Each person is asked to bring a shawl, scarf, or decorative cloth that may be used for your home altar so that the quality that you most desire to move forward with and embody in your life is the blessing that this item conveys every time you see or wear it.
Using vision to open to the healing qualities that support you, participants will practice being 'in the world and not of it'. In the Circle of Comfort, we will gather in small groups to look at various newspaper articles describing the current events of our world and practice bringing our Centered Awareness to the possibilities of "what is truly there". You will then apply the same spiritual practice to your own worldly situations---ones to which you desire to bring insight and forgiveness. It is my intention that you leave this workshop with a lighter heart and a working practice that nurtures greater appreciation for yourself and others.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Facilitator:
Dr. Krysstine Gubser-Hislop, RScP
Monday, August 25 from 6:30 to 9:30pm
Emotional Freedom Technique is a method used to dislodge negative emotions from the body. It takes only minutes to perform and the result is usually permanent. EFT consists of tapping with the fingers at end points of the body's energy meridians. When negative emotions from emotional trauma, thought patterns, beliefs or patterns of behavior occur, they become locked into the body's energy system. EFT assists in the removal of these emotions easily, painlessly and quickly, making it a perfect tool for the professional and the individual. It is easy to perform and anyone can use it safely and effectively. Krysstine invites you to learn this technique in an informative and fun setting---the workshop fee includes a light snack!
